Additional shredding, scrap metal drop-offs and a final hazardous waste collection in Scotch Plains help Westfield-area households safely clear clutter while protecting the environment.
3. Westfield Teen's Bike Ride from Miami to New York City Raises Funds for Cancer Prevention (tapinto.net) — A Westfield High School senior biked 1,823 miles from Miami to New York City, raising over $10,000 for cancer prevention research while representing his hometown. Supported by his family, local cyclists and Westfield-area business sponsors, he turned a personal mission into a coast-spanning relay that highlighted resilience, teamwork and the community's generosity.
