Temple Sholom Invites Community to celebrate Sukkot and Simchat Torah 2026/5787

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — Temple Sholom invites the community to celebrate Sukkot and Simchat Torah with a full slate of festive, family-friendly programming.

The celebration kicks off September 25 with Shabbat Sukkot (with a nosh before services in the Sukkah), followed by Shabbat Shacharit (Sukkot in the Woods service) & potluck on September 26. On September 29, families are invited to "Pizza in the Hut" and a hands-on Make Your Own Edible Sukkah program.

The festivities continue into October with Simchat Torah, beginning October 2 with a pizza dinner and Kabbalat Shabbat service that includes Consecration for the congregation's newest students. Shabbat and Simchat Torah Shacharit, Sukkot Yizkor, and a community potluck lunch will be observed October 3.
