Westfield Students Shine in Beauty & the Beast & Aladdin

Westfield residents shine in “Beauty & the Beast” and “Aladdin”

Local Westfield residents were outstanding in their roles in “Beauty and the Beast” and “Aladdin”.  Maggie Bergin brought lots of energy to her performances of Villager, Enchanted Object and Narrator 1.  Her performance of Harem Girl was vivacious and spunky.  Pearl Reyes gave a fine performance in her roles of Narrator 4, Narrator 5, Townsperson, Enchanted Object and Harem Girl.  Jack Venezia, a sophomore at Westfield High School gave a stellar performance of Lumiere and was captivating as Aladdin.  Rebecca White was a charming Villager and Narrator, and her performance of Iago was intelligently funny.  Dallas Wicke, a freshman at Westfield High School, played Gaston with all the necessary flare, charming everyone in the audience, and his performances of Razul and the Husband were well thought out.  His brother, Dylan Wicke, provided a mesmerizing performance of the roles of the Prince and the Beast, and was a Jafar the audience loved to hate. Many of these performers were in the Continuo Arts production of “Wizard of Oz” last year, and have made choral performances with Andre Rieu, a Rome appearance for the international premiere of Stephen James Edwards‘s, Requiem for My Mother, and A Carol Fantasy at Carnegie Hall with the Foundation.  Many of them have also traveled Rome and Assisi for the inaugural premier of the Festivale di Musica Per Giovanni Musicisiti with Continuo Arts.
