Astronomy Day 2015 is set for May 2, 2015 at Trailside and UCC Sperry Observatory
Astronomy Day 2015 is set for May 2, 2015. Please join us to learn about the skies and the many NASA missions to study the Solar System.
Amateur Astronomers Inc. and the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders will sponsor Astronomy Day on Saturday, May 2, 2015. Entitled “Space: Your Future Frontier,” The program will be from 1-4 p.m. at the Trailside Nature and Science Center, 452 New Providence Road, Mountainside, NJ 07092 with children’s activities and solar observing, and then continuing at night from 7-10:30 p.m. at the William Miller Sperry Observatory at Union County College, 1033 Springfield Ave. Cranford, NJ 07016. The night portion will include lectures and observing through the club’s 24 inch reflect and 10 inch refracting telescopes, weather permitting. This free program is rain or shine with free parking.
