Attempted Luring Reported In Roselle Park

The driver had a brief conversation with the juvenile that was sexually explicit in nature and tried to entice him into the car: police

Roselle Park, NJ -- Roselle Park Police are attempting to identify a man involved in an attempted luring of a 16-year-old boy, police reported through Facebook.

On April 26 at approximately 9:37 a.m., the Roselle Park minor said he was walking in the area of W. Clay Ave at Hawthorne St. when he was stopped by an individual driving a 2000 to 2005 gold, four door, Chevy Impala with black molding and missing driver side front and rear hubcaps, according to police.

"Once stopped the driver had a brief conversation with the juvenile that was sexually explicit in nature and tried to entice him into the vehicle. The juvenile quickly walked away in the opposite direction and the driver quickly drove away eastbound on W. Clay Ave," according to police.

The driver of the vehicle was described as a heavy set, African-American male, with short black hair, no facial hair, approximately in his late twenties to thirties, according to police.
