Authentic Italian Gelato Shop Opens In Westfield

WESTFIELD, NJ — Morano Gelato is hosting its grand opening celebration on Thursday night in Westfield.

"The company is dedicated to the art of traditional Italian gelato-making through high quality batches made on-site daily," according to Morano Gelato Westfield.

A grand opening will be held at the 116 Elm Street location in Westfield from 6 to 9 p.m. with entertainment and giveaways.

The shop makes a variety of traditional Italian gelato flavors that change each day — which are all posted on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

"Each batch is made from scratch every morning using the highest quality ingredients possible to create an artisanal frozen product with bold flavors similar to those found in Italy, while every evening we aim to sell out of our gelato," according to Morano Gelato Westfield.

For the grand opening, Morano Gelato is featuring these flavors: Strawberry and basil, mango, prosecco and raspberry, and a blueberry and lemon sorbet, sweet milk, chocolate chip, cannolo siciliano (Sicilian cannoli), amore (hazelnut, almond, and white chocolate), ferrero rocher, a new flavor for their store-only, mele e caramello (apples and caramel), almond and orange, espresso and cinnamon, pavlova (amarena cherry and meringue), milk chocolate, dark chocolate, pistachio and hazelnut gelato.
