Autism Awareness Family Day Hosted By Westfield Police

The event held on April 26 is open to Westfield residents on the autism spectrum and their families.

WESTFIELD, NJ — The Westfield Police Department is once again hosting Autism Awareness Family Day, which will be held on April 26 for Westfield residents on the autism spectrum and their families.

April is Autism Acceptance Month, which aims to raise awareness to promote autism acceptance, celebrate each individual’s unique differences, and foster inclusivity and connectedness.

Westfield's Autism Awareness Family Day will be held on Saturday, April 26, from noon to 2 p.m. in the Community Room of the Westfield Municipal Building, 425 E. Broad St.

The event includes crafts, food, music, police vehicles and touch-a-truck, sensory games, and therapy dogs.
