Black Friday Mall Shooter Still At-Large
The Mills at Jersey Gardens in Elizabeth remains open after shooting, with increased security.

The shooter that wounded a man and sent thousands into a panic at the Mills at Jersey Gardens Mall in Elizabeth on Black Friday is still on the loose, according to authorities.
City of Elizabeth spokeswoman Kelly Martins told Patch on Monday that the shooting remains an active investigation and that the police are reviewing footage from the mall cameras.
The victim, who was not identified, was shot in the wrist near the Marshalls and Tommy Hilfiger stores at The Mills at Jersey Gardens around 8 p.m. on Friday, according to officials.

The mall was evacuated after the gunfire. Videos show people running through the Elizabeth mall's concourse and out the front door after gunfire erupted, Martins said.
According to Martins, the victim is not cooperating with the investigation and is not helping identify the suspect.

Officials at the Jersey Gardens Mall said in a statement that all their stores will be open for business as usual and credited first responders for their swift reaction to the crisis Friday.
"We are committed to providing a safe and secure shopping environment for our shoppers, retailers and employees," the statement said. "We have a number of proactive security measures in place, both seen and unseen, including maintaining a continuous security patrol of our property and parking lots. We also have a close working relationship with local law enforcement to maintain a safe environment at our property."
On Friday, Carli Disla told reporters she was with her boyfriend and their 6-week-old daughter in a Cohoes fashion store when they saw people running.
"They were yelling, 'Hide, everyone, hide! They are shooting!'" Disla, 22, told The Associated Press in an interview via Twitter. She and her boyfriend grabbed the baby out of her car seat, ran to the back of the store and hid in its receiving area.
