AARP is offering a 2-day Smart Driver course. Held on Tuesday, September 8 and Thursday 9/10, from 1 p.m. to 4p.m., the class is free and open to Westfield resident cardholders only. Space is limited, so interested parties must register. Registering for the Tuesday session means an automatic registration for the Thursday class. You must complete both days for an AARP auto discount.
The AARP course teaches valuable defensive driving strategies and provides a refresher of the rules of the road. Since 1979, the course has helped more than 20 million drivers learn research-based tips to adapt their driving to compensate for physical and cognitive changes that may occur with aging.
The course has also been recently updated with new content, so drivers will have the most up-to-date information. Plus, you may qualify for a multi-year automobile insurance discount by completing the course, but it’s best to check with your auto insurance agent for details.
