Destroying David

American Theater Group proudly presents the East Coast premiere of a unique theatrical experience written and performed by Jason Odell Williams and directed by Charlotte Cohn.

ATTENZIONE! Michelangelo’s David is in danger of collapsing! And it may not survive the night. Is it the 500-year-old crack in the statue’s ankle that will bring it down? The frequent earthquakes around Florence? Or the charming but troubled tour guide with a gift for gab and nothing to lose?

Destroying David is a funny, heartbreaking, and ultimately uplifting solo show about the beauty, resilience, and power of art to help us through our darkest hours.

Be in the room… where it may or may not happen!

“Destroying David is a triumph. Mesmerizing from start to finish. Brilliant and beautifully layered. This is a work of art about a work of art.” – Broadway World, Dallas
