College Planning Night for Students with Accommodations

This program brings professionals together to discuss: how to plan for college during the high school years, how to search for colleges.

Preparation for college is a daunting experience for most students and their families. For those students who face learning, emotional, and physical challenges, the task of selecting an institution that can effectively accommodate their needs requires additional planning and research, in order to ensure their college experiences will be rewarding.

This program brings educational professionals together to discuss: how to plan for college during the high school years, how to search for colleges that fit the student’s needs, how to select the best college, and how to work with a college’s office of disabilities. The presentation will also feature a parent who successfully managed the process, and her perspectives in selecting colleges with her children. Parents and students will be encouraged to ask questions of our panel.
