Union County Motorcyclist Killed In Crash With SUV In Ringwood

The driver of the motorcycle, a 23-year-old from Cranford, was pronounced dead at the scene, said police.

CRANFORD, NJ — A Cranford man and motorcyclist was killed following a crash in Ringwood on Sunday night.

At around 5:30 p.m., a crash was reported in the area of Skyline Drive and Greenwood Lake Drive in Ringwood, involving a motorcycle and a Jeep Cherokee SUV.

The operator of the motorcycle, Michael Mendonca Lopez, 23, from Cranford, was pronounced dead. The occupants of the Jeep Cherokee did not sustain serious injury, announced Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Ringwood Chief of Police Peter McGinty.
