LINDEN, NJ — A serious crash involving a downed utility pole has shut down all southbound lanes of Route 1&9 in Linden, according to police.
The crash happened near the BJ’s Wholesale Club, where crews continue working at the scene and traffic is being diverted away from the area.
Police are urging drivers to avoid Route 1&9 South between Park Avenue and the BJ’s area as delays are expected to continue for several hours.
