Dave Portnoy Says Westfield Pizza Spot Has Good, Thin Pizza During One Bite Review

Barstool Sports founder visits a longtime Union County pizzeria and shares his thoughts on a thin slice and a salad-style pie.

WESTFIELD, NJ — Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy stopped by a Westfield pizza spot on his tour of Union County pizzerias to give it a review in his latest “One Bite” video, where he tried a thin slice and a salad-style slice.

The visit was to Buona Pizza & Restaurant, a longtime Westfield establishment that has been part of the local dining scene since the late 1970s. Portnoy described the slice as “good pizza,” pointing to its crisp texture and straightforward style.

He said the regular slice was “good, thin pizza,” giving it a 7.4 out of 10 on his grading scale.

Portnoy also tried a salad pizza slice during the review, saying, “Tastes like a salad,” and noting that it felt more like a salad than something he would normally pair with pizza.

The Westfield restaurant is known locally for its traditional Italian menu, with pizza among its main offerings.
