Dirt Biker Airlifted, Seriously Injured In Crash With Car On Union County Street

Police are asking witnesses to come forward after a 20-year-old man was thrown from the dirt bike on Tuesday night.

PLAINFIELD, NJ — A dirt biker was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries following a crash with a car in Plainfield.

On Tuesday at around 6:05 p.m., 20-year-old Zahair White was driving a dirt bike when he hit a vehicle already in the intersection at West 4th Street and Liberty Street, according to Plainfield Police.

As a result of the crash, White was thrown from the dirt bike and had multiple injuries.

Because of the severity of those injuries, he was airlifted to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

White is currently in serious condition, said police.

The accident remains under investigation.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has information that could help investigators to contact Plainfield Police Traffic Officer E. Groething at 908-753-3440.
