District 7 Primary Results: Malinowski, Lance Declared Winners
Incumbent Republican Leonard Lance and Democrat Tom Malinowski have been declared the winners for the 7th Congressional District primary.

WESTFIELD, NJ — Incumbent Republican Leonard Lance and Democrat Tom Malinowski have been declared the winners of the primary 7th Congressional District seats.
Lance held onto the Republican ticket while Malinowski took the Democratic ticket. Lance has held the seat since 2009.
District 7 covers all of Hunterdon County, and parts of Essex, Morris, Somerset, Union, and Warren counties.

- 68.9% Tom Malinowski of Rocky Hill 14,618 WINNER
- 20.6% Peter Jacob of Pluckemin 4,377
- 10.5% Goutam Jois of Summit 2,223
Republican Primary (Percent, Candidate, Votes):
- 75.4% Leonard Lance of Clinton* 12,554 WINNER
- 14.2% Lindsay C. Brown of Clark 2,372
- 10.4% Raafat Barsoom of Annadale 1,730
The general election is scheduled for Nov. 6, and whoever is elected will begin their term on January 2019.
