Dumpster Fire Burns Close To Westfield Home: Video

WESTFIELD, NJ — Firefighters and police were busy on Thursday morning working to extinguish a dumpster fire that burned close to a Westfield home. (See video below)
On Feb. 22 just after 2 a.m., the Westfield Fire Department was called to the 500 block of Coleman Place for a dumpster fire.
A Westfield Police Officer was the first to arrive and said the dumpster was fully involved.

Firefighters worked for about 20 minutes to knock down the main body of the fire and continued to wet down the contents of the dumpster for another 45 minutes, according to Town of Westfield, NJ Fire Department.
"Thankfully, there was no extension to the nearby house," said the fire department.
