DWI, Hindering Apprehension Arrests Reported In Westfield
Multiple warrant arrests were also reported in the recent police blotter.
WESTFIELD, NJ — Arrests for driving while intoxicated, hindering apprehension, and warrants were made recently in Westfield.
Westfield Police Blotter – Jan. 19 to Jan. 25:
On Jan. 19 at 12:23 a.m.: Dawn Ogrady, 43, Winfield, was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop in the area of 600 West North Avenue. Ogrady was taken to Westfield Police Department headquarters where she was processed and released with multiple summons.

On Jan. 21 at 9:51 p.m.: Corea Pickering, 46, Scotch Plains, was arrested by Officer Bernal for hindering apprehension during the course of a motor vehicle stop on East Dudley Avenue. Pickering was taken to Westfield Police Department Headquarters where she was processed and released on a summons.
On Jan. 22 at 12:37 a.m.: Officer Bace conducted a motor vehicle stop on West South Avenue near West Broad Street which led to the arrest of Patricia Gorgoroso, 50, Roselle, on the strength of an active traffic warrant for $372. She received an ROR at the scene and was released.

On Jan. 22 at 9:56 a.m.: Michael Hicks, 65, Stirling, was placed under arrest on the strength of the following warrants pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the 900 block of Central Ave.: Middlesex County Prosecutors- No Bail and Old Bridge Township Municipal Court - Bail set at $2,282. He was held in Westfield Police custody until turned over to the Middlesex County Sheriffs.
On Jan. 25 at 1:38 a.m.: Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop on W. North Avenue and Charles Street, Derrick Walker, 61, Roselle, was arrested on the strength of multiple outstanding warrants from multiple jurisdictions. Walker was released on scene on their own recognizance from each jurisdiction. Walker was given future court dates to address these matters.
