Edison School's 'Cinderella' Delights Audiences
Thomas A. Edison Intermediate School students performed 'Cinderella' to full houses over the weekend.
students performed a charming production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s 'Cinderella,' Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings.
The Friday and Saturday performances packed the house while the Thursday production was performed for the local senior citizens and elementary school children.
Edison School’s own David P. Shapiro directed the show and adapted and edited the script for the production. Maddy Lysek served as the Student Director.

The 'Cinderella' cast included Eden Kettleson as Cinderella, Ben Friedman as the King, Bri Lictchholt as the Queen, and Emma Ohlig as the Stepmother.
The show was sure to delight audiences from the first opening number, 'The Prince is Giving a Ball,' featuring the Herald, Christopher Ng, and the Townspeople.

Attendees also enjoyed the pictures of the cast, crew, and the rehearsals leading up to opening night, which were on view in the hallway outside the auditorium.
Bonnie Stewart, mother of Sydney Stewart, who played one of the chefs in the production, said, “They cook up a good show. 'Cinderella' is a dream come true.”
Nicholas Gabuzda, who attends , was at the show on Saturday.
“My sister is in 'Cinderella' and as an alumnus of Edison School, I’d like to see how the theater program is going,” he said.
The students’ hard work and enthusiasm was admired by many.
“A lot of effort has gone into 'Cinderella' and it has played out effectively,” said Jon Clancy, a WHS percussionist, who served as one of the musicians for the production.
Edison students not only performed in the production, they also constructed the set and toiled as the stage and technical crews.
On Saturday, the three-act show was an absolute delight to family, friends, and community members. The production received rounds of enthusiastic applause from the audience.
