Auditions for "Don't Dress for Dinner"

Westfield Community Players (WC) will hold auditions for its next production, Don't Dress for Dinner by Marc Camoletti.

Marc Camoletti's Don't Dress for Dinner is the wildly funny sequel to the Broadway hit Boeing-Boeing.  Don't Dress for Dinner is a frenetic case study of mistaken identity with more twists than a corkscrew.  When Jacqueline decides to visit her mother for a few days, her husband Benard, sees an opportunity for a cozy weekend with his own mistress.  His bachelor pal, Robert, calls to announce his return from Hong Kong.  So Bernard invites him along as his alibi, also hiring a Cordon Bleu-level cook to cater a delicious dinner.  But when Jacqueline realizes Robert is coming for a visit everything changes, and the high-speed farce begins.  One impossible situation leads to another as the hapless friend Robert finds himself the target of both amorous attention and wrathful vengence, while Bernard tries desparately to salvage a scrap of illicit bliss from the wreckage of a weekend.

The production is being directed by veteran actress and director, Linda Correll.  The show is being produced by Sally Brown and stage managed by Lynn Lampariello.

Auditions will be held at WCP theater on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 4-7pm.; Sunday, Feb. 12 from 6-9pm.  Call-backs, if needed, will be on Tuesday, Feb. 14.
