Charity Auction in Westfield to Support the Pan-Mass Challenge

Help raise money for cancer care and research and win the opportunity to ring the Opening Bell at the New York Stock Exchange. The 4th annual charity auction to benefit the Pan-Massachusetts Challenge will be held Saturday, June 11 at 7 p.m. at Jay's Cycle Center. All proceeds from the event will go toward Team ConvergEx Cycler's fundraising efforts for the Dana-Farder Cancer Institute through the PMC. The team of 12 includes Westfield residents Ed Gallagher, Tony Cook, Bill Foley and Ed Carr; each rides up to 190 miles in the PMC.Admission is free and includes live music, food and wine reception. The event features a 50/50 raffle and live and silent auctions. The auction items available  include: tickets and a limo ride to and from the Davide Letterman Show, tickets to several NY Yankees games, theatre tickets, jewelry and much more. Guests can also bid to win the right to ring the Opening Bell at the New York Stock Exchange on August 5, 2011 to kick off the PMC weekend.The Pan-Massachusetts Challenge is an annual bike-a-thon that raises more money for charity than any other athletic event in the nation. Since its 1980 inception, the PMC has raised $303 million for cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber.
