Children's Illustrator/ Westfield Teacher Frank Thompson Visits The Town Book Store

Meet Frank Thompson, illustrator of the beautiful new children’s book, Sunbelievable This book is a humorous, beautifully illustrated, educational/science picture book about the sun for children ages 4 to 8. Jo Ann Kairys, a professional science writer, has teamed with her physician son, artist and teacher Frank Thompson, and one of NASA’s top scientists to create a children’s book that cleverly melds hilarious storytelling with science and nature.
Frank Thompson is artist and art teacher who has taught in Westfield public schools for 19 years. His love for photo manipulation and all things fantastical has made creating Sunbelievable and unique and wonderful experience. While he has enjoyed working in many mediums, this is his first time illustrating children's literature.
