Garwood, NJ – October 29, 2010 – A unique new business, Hot Yoga Revolution, will be opening its doors to Union County with a Grand Opening Saturday, November 6, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at 345 North Avenue in Garwood.  The studio will be offering free classes throughout the day at both beginner and regular levels in order to allow area residents to experience the new groove of this hot yoga sensation.

Hot power vinyasa yoga is a style of yoga practiced in a heated room of about 95 degrees at 40 percent humidity linking one pose to another in a sturdy physical sequence that helps people burn calories (500-1,000), sweat and build endurance and core strength while quieting their mind and awakening personal power.  It is more than the passive stretching of traditional yoga, combining cardio exercise with deep stretching and the ancient philosophy of yoga while the heat intensifies the experience.

Hot Yoga Revolution is the creation of Danielle Mojo of Westfield, a longtime resident of Union County who is a registered Yoga Alliance teacher and hot yoga enthusiast. Mojo has been teaching in Northern New Jersey and wanted to bring the inspiring, playful journey of hot power yoga to Union County.

"The mission of the studio is to join the ancient practice of yoga and meditation with a new age of groove music, detoxifying core workout and spiritual buzz." Mojo said.  "I wanted to bring my home community something new, inspiring and meaningful to me.

"Hot Yoga is more than just a workout.  It rejuvenates you on a mind, body and spiritual level.  At the end of a day at the office, with the kids or amidst the chaos of daily life, our body needs something more than just droning away on the treadmill.  Hot yoga gives you that workout you need, balances your hormones, stretches you out and sends you back into life with a sense of spirit."

Hot yoga is appropriate for both women and men of all ages from the late teens upward.  Hot Yoga Revolution will offer morning and evening classes Monday through Friday, as well Friday night theme events and weekend classes.  In addition to hot yoga, the studio will offer warm Pilates; hip hop yoga; a ladies-only hot goddess flow; and a Friday night hot yoga reggae and groove class.

"It's time to graduate from the treadmill into mind-body spirit fitness," Mojo said.  "We are doing it with style."

During the grand opening, the studio will offer two free beginners classes and two free regular classes.  The studio can accommodate 25-30 people per class.
