First Congregational Church's annual Lenten film series will view and discuss “The Sunset Limited,” starring Samuel L. Jackson and Tommy Lee Jones. Based on a play by Cormac McCarthy, “The Sunset Limited” is a two-character drama about the conflict between faith and despair. Subsequently, the series will view “The Power of Forgiveness,” a documentary featuring Nobel laureate Elie Weisel, Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh, and spiritual writers Marianne Williamson and Thomas Moore. The four-week series begins March 5 continues on consecutive Mondays through March 26 from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm in the church’s Coe Fellowship Hall.
