Marbleizing Silk Scarves

Here is a chance to be creative, have fun and make your very own fashion accessory.  Come to the Mountainside Public Library on Saturday, June 11 for a special Fabric Marbleizing Workshop from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.  Presenter Nancy Leary will teach the ancient art of Ebru, or marbleizing.  After a brief introduction and demonstration on the art, attendees will be able to make their own beautiful silk scarf.  This hands-on program is sure to be a hit.

This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Mountainside Library and admission is free, but you must have a Mountainside Library card to attend.  Please RSVP by calling the Mountainside Library before June 9th at 908-233-0115.  You must pre-register for this program so that the right amount of supplies are brought that day.  You will be able to take your own silk scarf home with you that afternoon.

The MPL is located on Constitution Plaza.  For more information on the library and its many services and programs, please visit www.mountainsidelibrary.org or call the number listed above.
