Hedgehog and Feather Theatre Co. proudly presents “The Seussification of Romeo and Juliet”.
Romance, bumballoon fights, life and near death are given a “Seuss” spin in this production, written by Peter Bloedel and directed by Sara Hedgepeth and assisted by Steven Collins. Shakespeare and Seuss really can go together, but come see our show and you’ll understand better! There’s Romeo, Juliet and cousins of Sneeches; and two feuding families in bright colored breeches. The show’s not that long, so there will be no napping, and there’s action and music to keep your toes tapping! The show features Maria Hershey and Samantha Brenner as the Narrators, and Frank Guerriero and Lauren Echausse as Romeo and Juliet, as well as a wonderful ensemble cast of youth from Westfield, Rahway, Scotch Plains and Berkley Heights. This show is appropriate for ages 8 and up; some knowledge of Dr. Seuss encouraged, but not required.
Performances will be held on Saturday, June 10 at 7:30 p.m. and June 11 at 3:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the air-conditioned comfort of the Parish Hall in St. Paul’s Church at 414 E. Broad Street, Westfield, NJ. Tickets are $10.00 and can be reserved via e-mail at hf.tickets@verizon.net. Reservations are encouraged, but some tickets may be available at the door.
