The Arthritis Foundation, New Jersey Chapter is hosting Women on the Move Luncheon today from 12 noon - 3 p.m. This event will take place at Branches, 123 Monmouth Road, West Long Branch, NJ. There will be an awards program, food tastings from area restaurants and wineries and a ticket auction.
Women on the Move celebrates women of achievement who are leaders in their field, who have shown a commitment to improving the quality of life for those in their community, and/or are role models for living with arthritis. This event is also a vehicle for creating awareness about women and arthritis and the tools available through the New Jersey Chapter to help cope with the disease.
Honoree, Ginger Comstock of Westfield, owner, Bikram Yoga and CrossFit of Westfied is one of three outstanding
women who will be honored as a “Woman on the Move.”
Robert Lee Morris, award winning jewelry designer and sculptor, has designed a special pendant to be presented to Women on the Move honorees. Mr. Morris is an acknowledged leader of the art jewelry movement and has collaborated or designed collections for fashion designers Michael Kors, Kansai Yamamoto, Calvin Klein, Anne Klein and Donna Karan. The pendant, which has been fabricated courtesy of Haskell Jewels LLC, symbolizes movement, which is critically important to help reduce arthritis pain and increase and maintain mobility.
