Fake ID Attempt Fails At Westfield Bank

WESTFIELD, NJ — A person attempted to access a restricted bank account using identification that appeared to be fraudulent at a bank on East Broad Street in Westfield on May 15.

Bank staff became concerned during the interaction after the person was unable to provide basic information connected to the account.

The person left the bank before officers arrived.

The ID used during the attempt was recovered at the scene and secured for further investigation.
