Fall 'Hayrides And Campfires' Family Fun Events Return In Union County

The event series begins Oct. 2 and runs through Oct. 28. It includes a hayride, along with music, hot chocolate, and marshmallows to toast.

MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ — Families in Union County are invited to ring in the fall season with the Hayrides and Campfires series of activities in Roselle and Mountainside.

The event series begins Oct. 2 and runs through Oct. 28, according to the county. Each event includes a hayride, along with music, hot chocolate, and marshmallows to toast around a campfire.

Tickets are not sold on site and must be purchased in advance; they are $6 for Union County residents, and $12 for non-residents.

Tickets went on sale Tuesday, Sept. 6 at 9 a.m. They can be purchased online, at the Trailside Nature and Science Center in Mountainside, or at the Parks Reservation Desk at the Union County Administration Building in Elizabeth.

“Our hayride and campfire events have become a family favorite tradition to celebrate the fall season, and it’s a real pleasure to bring them back this year,” said County Commissioner Chair Rebecca L. Williams.
