Victim ID'd, Details As Fatal 7-Eleven Shooter In NJ Busted
A man was arrested for murder following a fatal shooting in a 7-Eleven parking lot.
LINDEN, NJ — A New Jersey man has been arrested and identified as the shooter who killed a man outside New Jersey 7-Eleven on Tuesday night, authorities said.
Darwin Cadet, 18, of Roselle is charged with murder and two related weapons offenses for his alleged role in the death of 27-year-old Brian Pierre of Roselle, acting Union County Prosecutor Michael A. Monahan.
The fatal shooting took place at around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night at the 1800 block of E. St. Georges Avenue (Route 27) in Linden, Monahan said.

Pierre was found suffering from multiple gunshot wound in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven. He died while being transported to a local hospital, according to the report.
Cadet was identified as a suspect in the case following an investigation by Union County Homicide Task Force investigation, assisted by members of the Linden Police Department, Roselle Police Department, Union County Sheriff’s Office Identification Unit, and Union County Police Department Ballistics Unit.

Cadet was taken into custody without incident and charged Tuesday morning, lodged in Union County Jail pending a first appearance and detention hearing to take place in Superior Court.
He could face up to life in state prison on the criminal charges.
