Fiery Crash On Garden State Parkway In Union County

One car became engulfed in flames before spreading to a second vehicle on the highway on Tuesday night.

CLARK, NJ — Volunteer firefighters battled a fiery crash on the Garden State Parkway in Clark on Tuesday night.

New Jersey State Police(NJSP) Troopers and the Clark Fire Department were called to a motor vehicle crash on March 4 at 8:54 p.m. on the Garden State Parkway North at milepost 136.2 in Clark Township, said NJSP Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron.

Based on a preliminary investigation, a crash happened between three passenger vehicles, causing one of the vehicles to become engulfed in flames, said Lebron.

Moments later, the call was upgraded to two working vehicle fires, said the fire department.

No injuries were reported. The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information is available at this time.
