Free Parking In Westfield, For Now

WESTFIELD, NJ - In order to celebrate the opening of newly paved lot #7 in downtown Westfield there will temporarily be no charge for parking, officials said

The lot, located at 148 Central Ave, will be fee free for up to two hours while the numbering of the spaces is completed, officials said. Officials noted that there were still other details to complete, like decorative lighting, the pedestrian beacon installation across from the Post Office, sidewalk work on North Avenue and the installation of the pay stations.

Officials thanked residents for their patience and said that although work still needs to be done, the lot is functional for public use in the meantime.
