Freeholder Board Announces Two More Free COVID-19 Test Locations

Free COVID-19 saliva tests will be administered at two events in Elizabeth on November 10.

The Freeholder Board has announced two upcoming events for the Union County Mobile Test Unit for the month of November. Free COVID-19 saliva tests will be administered at two events in Elizabeth on November 10th.

The walk up events are open to all Union County residents and no appointment is necessary. Those wishing to be tested should bring a smart phone or tablet and refrain from food, drink or chewing gum 30 minutes before testing.

“The Freeholder Board continues to offer free COVID tests county-wide, as we work to keep our communities safe,” said Freeholder Chairman, Alexander Mirabella. “We encourage residents to get tested if they have any concerns about exposure to COVID-19, whether or not they have symptoms.”

The Mobile Test Unit will hold two COVID-19 tests for the general public on Tuesday 11/10:

1. 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Union County College, Lessner Building Parking Lot, 12 W. Jersey Street, Elizabeth

2. 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. Peterstown Community Center – 418 Palmer Street, Elizabeth

These events are sponsored by the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders and done in cooperation with the City of Elizabeth and Union County College.
