FUMC Celebrates Christmas In Westfield
First United Methodist Church Westfield launches ChristmasInWestfield.com.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and First United Methodist Church Westfield is in the full swing of Christmas! The church has launched a new website, ChristmasInWestfield.com, as a source of information about town holiday events as well as holiday offerings at FUMC.
Christmas at FUMC Westfield
FUMC will be hosting their Second Annual Community Christmas Show on Saturday, December 15th at 4:00 PM in their sanctuary. Everyone is invited to this free event full of carols and Christmas cheer!
A Blue Christmas Service will be held at FUMC on Friday, December 21st. This service will offer a space for somber reflection for those who are feeling pain or sorrow at this time of year. The worship service will be held from 6:30-7:00 PM. The sanctuary will be open from 4:00-6:30 PM prior to the service for reflective time with music, and will be open after the service until 8:00 PM for quiet reflective time.
FUMC will be offering four distinct Christmas Eve Services this year: a Contemporary Service with Holy Communion at 10:00 AM; a Family Service with blended music and “Birthday Cake for Jesus” at 5:00 PM; a Traditional Candlelight Service with Holy Communion at 7:00 PM with brass ensemble music; and a “Lessons and Carols” Candlelight Service at 11:00 PM with music from the Sanctuary Choir. Tickets to the services are available for free at ChristmasInWestfield.com, as well as in the church office and at the door.
December Worship
FUMC Westfield holds worship every Sunday at 10:00 AM, with Church School for all ages at 9:00 AM and Fellowship Time following worship at 11:00 AM. Throughout the month of December, Rev. William M. Williams III will be teaching on the worship theme of “Greater Expectations.”
