General Election Showdown Set In Westfield
An uncontested primary has given way to four races in November.
WESTFIELD, NJ - After a quiet primary, there are now four races for Westfield council set for the November general election.
In the first ward, Democrat James G. Boyes is facing off against Republican Robert H. Benacchio. Boyes earned 295 votes in Tuesday's primary and Benacchio garnered 124.
The second ward contest will be between Democrat Mark Parmalee and Republican Richard Bodmer. Parmalee earned 137 votes in Tuesday's primary while Bodmer earned 81.

Ward three has Democrat Jennifer Gilman squaring off with Republican Mark LoGrippo with Gilman notching 226 votes in Tuesday's primary and LoGrippo garnering 107 votes.
The fourth ward will have Democrat Scott Katz competing with Doug Stokes with Katz earning 244 votes in the primary and Stokes getting 93 in Tuesday's contest.

All results are unofficial until certified by the County clerk.
The general election is set for Tuesday, Nov. 5.
