HILLSIDE - Ground beef was recalled from a ShopRite in New Jersey because of metal fragments that were found.
The ShopRite on Route 22 westbound in Hillside has recalled store-made ground beef produced and sold on Friday, according to a company press release.
Regular-size packages of 80-, 85- and 93-percent lean ground beef and 80- and 85-percent family-size ground beef, with a sell-by date of May 12, were recalled.

ShopRite said mechanical problems with a meat grinder may have caused small pieces of metal to fall into the beef.
Customers who bought ground beef on that say can return it to the store for a refund or replacement. There were no injuries reported to the company at this time.
