Help Westfield Make Safer Streets For Cyclists, Pedestrians
Complete an online survey and attend to public workshop to help officials with their bicycle and pedestrian plan.
WESTFIELD, NJ - Westfield is hard at work on a bicycle and pedestrian Plan and want help from the community to complete it.
Through funding from the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT), Westfield has initiated this effort to develop a plan to make bicycling and walking more comfortable, accessible, and safer for residents and visitors alike.
"Wouldn’t it be great if you could walk or bike safely around town? Now’s your chance to help the Town develop a plan for creating safe biking and pedestrian corridors in Westfield," Mayopr Shelley Brindle said.

Those interested can draw on the interactive map to indicate areas in Westfield where they currently bike or walk, where it is difficult or undesirable to bike or walk, where they would like to see pedestrian and bicycle improvements, or any other input that might be relevant to improving walking and biking conditions in Westfield.
They can also complete a short survey on their travel modes for transportation in the Town of Westfield. And finally, they can attend a meeting to give suggestions.

"Complete the survey and come to the public workshop at Town Hall on July 8 from 6-8 p.m.," Brindle said.
