Help Westfield Police Solve Century Old Mystery
Do you know what this 'artifact' was used for? Let the Westfield Police know.

WESTFIELD, NJ - It is a mystery that dates back a century and the Westfield Police would like your help in solving it. The department recently acquired an artifact of unknown origins and are asking for help in identifying it.
The piece is described as a thick wooden block with a raised metal stamp. On the stamp is the wording "Constable Westfield N.J. Union Co."
"We don't know much more about it," Westfield Police wrote on their Facebook page, "Clearly it was utilized via a printing press."

Officials estimate it is approximately 5"x5" inches in size.
"Perhaps it was used for police reports/documents? Posters? Leaflets/pamphlets?" Police wrote. "If anyone can shed some light please do."

Officials are estimating the age from "late 1800's-early 1900's." Police said they tried to make a print of the stamp by hand and that image is included in above.
