Westfield,
NJ-- Many charitable organizations count on Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox
Church’s annual commitment, ranging from religious ministries to humanitarian
efforts. During the month of December, the parish of Holy Trinity Greek
Orthodox Church, hosted a check presentation ceremony to honor the good works
of three local organizations. The Children's Specialized Hospital in
Mountainside, the Westfield Volunteer Rescue Squad, and Project Hope (a
charitable organization that fights against human trafficking). With these
donations, Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church honors the volunteers of the
Westfield Volunteer Rescue Squad for their service and recognizes the
tremendous service Children's Specialized Hospital provides for the health and
welfare of children, and the fight to end human trafficking.
These
wonderful organizations are the recipients of proceeds from Holy Trinity Greek
Orthodox Church's NJ GreekFest (June 1-4, 2017). GreekFest is an annual four-day
community outreach event displaying our Greek heritage and culture. We welcome
our visitors with a genuine spirit of Orthodox Christian fellowship. The parish
exhibits our Greek pride through delicious food, music, Greek Market, vendors,
games, etc. Funds raised during NJ GreekFest help support ongoing charitable
giving and parish educational ministries.
Both
Children's Specialized Hospital and the Westfield Volunteer Rescue Squad along
with Holy Trinity are dedicated stewards of the surrounding community. Over the
last five years, we have continued our support of these organizations by
partnering with them to help assist them in their worthy cause.
