How Much Snow Did Union County Get?

The most snow New Jersey got was 2.5 inches in areas, according to the National Weather Service. More snow is expected Saturday.

UNION COUNTY, NJ — The first real snowfall of the season was a bit of a dud for New Jersey, according to the National Weather Service.

Union County received at 1.6 inches in general. The most New Jersey received was 2.5 inches in Hopewell Township and Gloucester City.

The snow wasn't enough to close or delay school openings on Friday, but there is still more on the way.

Here is what to expect this the weekend:

  • Today: Partly sunny, with a high near 34. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. Northwest wind around 8 mph.
  • Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 17. Wind chill values between 10 and 15. North wind around 8 mph.
  • Saturday: A 50 percent chance of snow after 9am. Partly sunny, with a high near 25. Wind chill values between 5 and 15. North wind 9 to 11 mph.
  • Saturday Night: A 20 percent chance of snow before 9pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 16. Wind chill values between 5 and 10. Northwest wind 9 to 13 mph.
  • Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 24. Northwest wind 9 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.
  • Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 14.
