Interfaith Discussion on Love in Action at FUMC Westfield

We invite you to join us in worship on Sunday, February 24th at 10 AM!

How do we put love into action? Throughout the month of February, First United Methodist Church Westfield has been exploring several scriptures, including Micah 6:8 which says:

“And what does the Lord require of you? To do justice and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

On Sunday, February 24th at 10 AM, FUMC Westfield’s Rev. William M Williams, III and Rabbi Douglas Sagal from Temple Emanu-El will be holding a Judeo-Christian discussion on what it means to live this scripture, and to put the love of God into action.

We know that at times the concept of love can be convoluted and theoretical, and that it can become difficult to know how to show practical and healthy forms of love. The scriptures tell us to love our enemies, to love those who curse us, and to love others as we would want to be loved. As followers of God, we believe in putting love into action. We hope you will join us in worship for this special Sunday!
