ROSELLE PARK, NJ — A juvenile has been arrested in connection with a social media post talking about a creepy clown and student victims in Roselle Park, police reported
Police are dealing with more "creepy clown" sightings in at least 10 New Jersey towns as the nationwide "killer clown" threats continue to grow.
Around 4:30 p.m., Roselle Park Police investigated a social media post which alluded to a clown and victims in the Roselle Park School District.

As a result, a 14 year old Roselle Park resident was identified as the person responsible for the post — which has since been removed, according to police.
The juvenile was processed and released into the custody of a guardian.

"The Roselle Park Police Department is aware of a recent social media posting in regards to a non-specific threat involving a clown and the Roselle Park Schools. We have made contact with school officials and we are actively monitoring other social media sites," police announced.

Other New Jersey towns with clown sightings include Phillipsburg, Pohatcong, Deptford, East Hanover, Glassboro, Clearview, Kingsway, West Deptford, Vineland and Toms River.
