Established in 2004, the all-volunteer Bonds of Courage organization helps soldiers, veterans and their families in three ways.
It helps people in the armed forces navigate and find services such as day care and mental health professionals. There is also a career mentoring program offered. And lastly, the organization puts together care packages to help service members serving and homeless veterans as well.
“I am ecstatic and excited about this community engagement,” said Danielle Bracco, Executive Director with Bonds of Courage. “This idea kind of reenergizes our cause and brings to light what we are doing with the care packages. Sometimes people forget there are people still serving and the fact that young men and women can do something to help.”
Bonds of Courage is located at the National Guard Armory, 500 Rahway Avenue, Westfield.
