Lindabury Partner Accepted into Mid-Atlantic Fellows Institute

Elizabeth Candido Petite was accepted into the Mid-Atlantic Fellows Institute of the American College of Trust and Estate.

The law firm of Lindabury, McCormick, Estabrook & Cooper, P.C., announced that Partner Elizabeth Candido Petite has been accepted into Class III of the Mid-Atlantic Fellows Institute of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). Ms. Petite is a member of Lindabury's Wills, Trusts and Estates practice group, where she concentrates on estate planning and administration of trusts and estates.

“It is an exciting prospect to join outstanding thought leaders at the Mid-Atlantic Fellows Institute as we expand our knowledge and expertise,” said Ms. Petite. “I look forward to gaining new legal strategies and solutions that will benefit our clients.”

The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel is a national organization of lawyers elected to membership by demonstrating the highest level of integrity, commitment to the profession, competence and experience as trust and estate counselors. The Mid-Atlantic Fellows Institute was created to develop the profession’s future leaders in trust and estate law through a series of in-depth educational presentations led by subject matter experts.

Lawyers are nominated for the Institute by an ACTEC Fellow and selected through a competitive application process. The Institute commences in Washington, D.C., on Sept. 15, 2022, and includes six sessions that conclude during April 2023.

Elizabeth Candido Petite’s experience includes estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, durable powers of attorney and advance directives for healthcare. With a specialty in elder law, special needs planning and guardianships, she serves as a panelist for the Union County Probate Early Settlement Panel. She holds a J.D. and a LL.M in Taxation from New York Law School.
