Murder Suspect With Bloody Knife Busted In Union

UNION, NJ — A man, who was found with a bloody knife and wanted in connection with a murder of his father in Brooklyn, New York, was arrested in Union Township.

On Sunday at around 5:58 a.m., New Jersey State Police responded to the Vauxhall Service Area on the Garden State Parkway where a taxi driver said Tyemear Jones, 24, of Brooklyn, New York did not pay for the ride and fled, police reported.

Troopers later found Jones at a Union Township home where he was arrested without incident.

Jones was found to be in possession of a bloody knife and was wanted for questioning by the New York Police Department in connection to a murder that occurred in Brooklyn, a police investigation discovered.

Jones was charged by the State Police with theft and obstruction. The NYPD charged Jones with murder and alleged that he used the knife that troopers discovered to murder his father, state police reported.
