Man Fatally Hit By Raritan Valley Train In Union County

The Raritan Valley Line service was suspended in both directions as a result.

FANWOOD, NJ — A man was fatally hit by a NJ Transit train on Thursday night in Union County.

At around 7:21 p.m., Raritan Valley Line train 5150, which left Raritan at 6:49 p.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Penn Station New York at 8:14 p.m., hit and fatally injured an adult man pedestrian near the Fanwood Station, said NJ Transit authorities.

There were no reported injuries to the 100 customers or crew on board.
