Man Wanted In Union County Home Sex Assault Turns Himself In: Prosecutor
Police say Elijah Finis, 18, of Woodbridge unlawfully went into a woman's home on Aug. 10 and sexually assaulted her.

RAHWAY, NJ — A Woodbridge man wanted for sexually assaulting a Rahway resident at her home on Aug. 10 has turned himself in, Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel and Rahway Police Director Nicholas G. Breiner announced.
Elijah Finis, 18, is charged with second-degree sexual assault and fourth-degree criminal trespass.
On Aug. 10 at around 11 a.m., Rahway Police Officers went to the 2000 block of Elizabeth Avenue where a victim reported being sexually assaulted by an unknown man who entered her home unlawfully, said Daniel.

Authorities sent out an alert with photos of the suspect. On Aug. 12, Finis was identified as the suspect.
Finis turned himself over to authorities from the NYPD’s 120th Precinct in Staten Island later that day. He is currently awaiting extradition back to New Jersey.

This investigation was led by the Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Rahway Police
Department, with assistance from Linden Police Department, Garwood Police Department, and New York City Police Department.
"We are grateful for the extraordinary collaboration with our local law enforcement partners which led to the quick identification and apprehension of Finis," Daniel said.
