Man Who Broke Into Roselle Park Home Had Cocaine
The Matawan man, who was in possession of cocaine, broke into a Roselle Park home, police report.

ROSELLE PARK, NJ — A man, who was in possession of cocaine, broke into a Roselle Park home, police report.
On Nov. 15 at around 6:31 p.m., Roselle Park Officers responded to Dalton Street following a report by a resident saying they saw a suspicious man in the backyard of a vacant house with a flashlight.
On scene, officers located the inside the home who was identified as Christopher J. Polito, 36 from Matawan, police report.

Polito was found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance (cocaine) and drug paraphernalia.
There were signs of forced entry to the rear door and a window. It was determined that Polito did not have permission to be in the home and that he was also in possession of a window that was removed from the residence, police report.

He was placed under arrest and charged with criminal trespass, criminal mischief, possession of CDS(cocaine), possession of drug paraphernalia and theft. Polito was released on a summons with a Union County Superior Court date.

On Nov. 14 at 1:10 a.m.: Patrolman William Hannon conducted a motor vehicle stop with a 2007 Toyota on W. Westfield Ave for an equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle, Nicole Baxter, 32 from East Orange was found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, suspected (marijuana). Baxter was arrested and charged with possession of suspected controlled dangerous substance. She was issued motor vehicle summonses for possession of CDS in a motor vehicle and view obstruction. Baxter was ultimately released on a summons with a Roselle Park Municipal Court date.
On Nov. 20 at 12:24 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the area of Woodside Gardens Apartments for a report of a suspicious, parked occupied vehicle that was reported by one of the residents of the complex. Patrolman Brian Swick located the vehicle and conducted a motor vehicle stop with a 2010 Nissan in the parking lot of that location. The driver of the vehicle, Gary Cheron, 30, from Coral Springs, Florida was found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, suspected (marijuana) and drug paraphernalia. Cheron was arrested and charged with possession of suspected CDS He was issued a motor vehicle summons for possession of CDS in a motor vehicle. Cheron was ultimately released on a summons with a Roselle Park Municipal Court date.
On Nov. 21 at 11:11 p.m.: Patrolman Kyle Snyder conducted a motor vehicle stop with a 1999 Nissan on W. Westfield Avenue for an equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle, Sharon A. Whelan, 25, from Linden was found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, specifically (Xanax). The passenger of the vehicle Daniel Howard, 27, from Elizabeth was found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, specifically (marijuana) and drug paraphernalia. Both Whelan and Howard were placed under arrest. Howard was charged with possession of CDS(marijuana) and drug paraphernalia. Whelan was charged with possession of CDS. Both were released on a summons with a Union County Superior Court date. Additionally, Whelan was issued motor vehicle summonses for failure to wear a seat belt, view obstruction, and possession of c.d.s. in a motor vehicle.
On Nov. 24 at 10:09 p.m.: Patrolman William Hannon conducted a motor vehicle stop with a 2004 Nissan on W. Westfield Ave for an equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle, Sarnoff Saintilus, 31, from Irvington was found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, suspected (marijuana) and drug paraphernalia. Saintilus was arrested and charged with possession of suspected CDS and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued motor vehicle summons for possession of CDS in a motor vehicle, improper use of high beams and possession of open container in a motor vehicle. Saintilus was ultimately released on a summons with a Roselle Park Municipal Court date.
On Nov. 28 at 1:33 p.m.: Patrolman Anthony Rodriguez conducted a motor vehicle stop with a 2005 Mazda on E. Westfield Avenue for a moving violation. The driver of the vehicle, Christopher V. Charon, 19, Irvington was found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, suspected (marijuana) and drug paraphernalia. Charon was arrested and charged with possession of suspected CDS and drug paraphernalia. He was issued motor vehicle summons for possession of CDS in a motor vehicle and cell phone violation. Charon was released on a summons with a Roselle Park Municipal Court date.
