Manor Park Swim Club is hosting an open house for prospective members on Saturday, June 1st and Sunday, June 2nd. Stop by for a tour and enjoy some time at the pool!

Tucked away behind Sycamore Field, Manor Park Swim Club has been part of the community for generations. The swim club first opened in 1960, after residents of the Manor Park subdivision came together to build it for their families. A plaque recognizing the founders still hangs in the club today.

The community spirit that built Manor Park lives on, as the residents of the neighborhood continue to improve the swim club, renovating the large recreation area on the property. The pool now offers an updated basketball court, volleyball/badminton, ping pong, corn hole, horse shoes, as well as a soon to be built bocce ball court.

Stephanie Hamel, of Ripley Avenue, has a long history with the pool club. Her grandfather, John Federowsky, was one of the Manor Park residents who helped build the pool club. Stephanie was a member as a child, and is now an active member of the club with her husband Jaime, and children Jack and Lia. The unique sense of community at Manor Park keeps generations of families returning each year.

Manor Park is a great alternative for people seeking a relaxed, family friendly pool. Members can leave their chairs at home, as the club provides ample tables with umbrellas, as well as Adirondack chairs. Young families enjoy the fenced in kiddie pool and shaded play area, as well as the affordably priced swim lessons. The Dolphins Swim Team, which competes against Memorial Pool, Nomahegan and other local clubs, welcomes both new and experienced swimmers.
