Meet Westfield High School National Merit Scholars
The merit scholar winners were among 2,500 winners nationwide and were selected from a pool of more than 15,000 finalists.

WESTFIELD, NJ — Three Westfield students were named winners of the 2024 National Merit $2,500 Scholarship.
Westfield High School 12th graders Jacob Blaustein, Yenjay Hu, and Tage Mehta are 2024 Merit Scholars.
The merit scholar winners, announced on May 8, were among 2,500 winners nationwide and were selected from a pool of more than 15,000 finalists.

As part of the prestigious selection process, the National Merit Scholarship Corporation examines each finalist’s academic record and the student’s essay, along with demonstrated leadership and contributions to school and community activities.
